Title:Various - Air Strike Against Serb-Held Airfield In Croatia
Date:21st November 1994
Summary:NATO launched a massive air strike against a Serb-held airfield in Croatia on November 21 but made clear afterwards it had taken the action at the request of the UN. British, Dutch, French and US warplanes took part in the four-hour attack on Udbina. The raid, launched across the Adriatic Sea from bases in Italy and from a British aircraft carrier, followed Serb air attacks on the Bihac enclave. US President Clinton and Russian President Yeltsin both supported the air strike. At the UN the Bosnian Ambassador Mohammed Sacirbey, while welcoming the NATO action, said he feared it was not enough to deter the continued Serb advance on Bihac.
