When people are dying, you're like, ok he died." LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (RECENT) (REUTERS) (SOUNDBITE) (English) KATHERINE HEIGL SAYING: "I do love the sort of fairy tale, wonderful romantic comedies where it's boy meets girl, they have some struggle, then they get married in the end. I do love that, and I will always want to do those movies, as long as I'm of age, but this was a great experience because it's a little different twist on the formula and it kind of keeps it new, and fresh, and interesting."

- Story Text: It's a modern turn on a classic story - boy meets girl, girl discovers boy is a spy, and romantic comedy ensures. That's just what audiences will get with "The Killers," a new movie starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl that despite its predictable plot, has some true, hidden comedic gems.
The film follows government-hired assassin Spencer, played by Kutcher, who falls in love with a low-key computer tech Jen, played by Heigl. After falling in love and moving to the suburbs, Spencer's old, spy life catches up with him, forcing Jen to quickly adapt to a life of guns and high-speed chases.
Kutcher said the film's mix of comedy and killing was not easy to pull off.
"I think finding the tone of the movie, once we got in there, once we started shooting, was tricky because there's a lot of violence in the movie, there are a lot of people getting killed and things happening like this, but the movie doesn't come off, it's not that heavy. When people are dying, you're like, ok he died."
In the film, Spencer tries to keep his life secret from his new girlfriend. As for his real life, the actor, who is married to Demi Moore, said sometimes a little secret is good.
"I think we all have things that we feel aren't necessary to tell our partner, where you go, if it ever comes up, I'll say something, but I'm not going to say anything. Sometimes you don't want to blow a whistle just to blow a whistle, and there are certain things that you could say to your partner, like set them off, but maybe they don't need to know those things."
Well, that all depends on what the secret is, said Heigl.
"It's not the law that you have to divulge every little thing to your partner, and that's also what keeps it interesting. I do think it's dependent on the bigness of the secret, I suppose."
