Summary:Four Mexican Air Force planes crashed and six pilots were killed after a mid-air collision during Independence Day celebrations in Mexico City on September 16. The Defence Ministry said a one-man Northrop F-5 plane lost altitude and collided with a two-man T-33 jet. Two more T-33s became involved in the crash and all four planes spun to the ground.
