Five people died when a plane crashed in the Engadin
valley near St Morritz in Switzerland on Wednesday (April
7, 2004).
Rescue workers at the scene probed the wreckage of the
small plane but there were no survivors to the crash.
Police spokesman Mario Salis said four adults and one
child, all German citizens, had died in the crash.
"The pilot turned the plane around and then it came
down and crashed," Salis said. He added that the plane had
been flying from Germany.
"An eyewitness said the plane experienced turbulence

There was no confirmation of the plane's destination.
The plane appeared to fly over the Engadin valley
