- Story Text: Irish pop star Sinead O'Connor attacked two Israeli photographers in Jerusalem last Thursday (June 15) at the end of a three-day visit to Israel.
The volatile singer, who drew a large crowd for her concert at the Israeli town of Caesarea on Tuesday, got upset over the presence of cameras as she left the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
"How dare you follow me around the church!" she yelled at photographer Noam Sharon, grabbing him by the shirt. She then ran after a second photographer, David Mizrahi, who accused the singer of ripping a piece out of his shirt.
Police surrounded O'Connor's entourage as her bodyguards led her away, covering her face with a plastic bag, to a waiting van.
O'Connor had asked the media to stay away from her private engagements during her current concert tour. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
