Acclaimed as the dance extravaganza for this Millennium, 'Fleet of Flames 2000 World Tour', is the biggest dance show ever staged.Fifty dancers will join Flatley, the former Lord of the Dance star, as he dons his dancing shoes to perform for two hours across a breathtaking set.
More that one million fans in five countries will be thrilled during the first one hundred dates of the European leg of the world tour which has kicked off in Cologne, Germany.
Flatley's new show is a "synthesis of dance, folklore and spectacular stage effects and presents a new step dance world record," according to the organisers.
Michael Flatley and his crew of fifty male and female dancers took an eighteen-month break to prepare for the new show.
Since the inaugural performance in Dublin three years ago, Michael's internationally renowned Lord of the Dance production has become a worldwide phenomenon.
There are currently four Lord of the Dance troupes, one permanently touring the UK, another touring the US, one resident in Las Vegas and a fourth at Disney World in Florida.
The new 'Feet of Flames' production marks Flatley's first appearance back on the boards since his ground breaking one-off 'Feet of Flames' performance in London's Hyde Park during the summer of 1998.
Apart from his staggering success with his 'Riverdance' and 'Lord of the Dance' shows Flatley can also lay claim to a unique title - as the fastest dancer on Earth - a position confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records with his record of THIRTY-FIVE separate taps in one second. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
