So, I was literally talking to my daughter and it hurt. (SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) RACHEL LEIGH COOK SAYING OF STALLONE, We were doing re-shoots and I remember he sort of paced off. Looked like he was thinking about something, then wandered back toward me and said, I read this one interview you did where you called me scary. You know, I probably said it in passing! And I said, yeah, I probably said, yeah, he's a scary dude. I said, he also speaks four languages and likes to water color, which is true. You know, but it looked like it was genuinely perplexing him, that I had called him scary and he wanted to ask me about it and I thought that ws just the cutest thing.

- Story Text: "You're a big man - but you're out of shape. With me - it's a full time job." One of cinema's immortal lines - first uttered by Michael Caine in the gangster classic 'Get Carter.' Now Carter is back - in the form of Sly Stallone. Three years after re-inventing himself in the drama "Copland," Stallone unveils his Carter remake - which with a nod to the original - features a cameo appearance from Caine. The film has had its world premiere in Los Angeles.
"Get Carter" is actually a remake of a 1971 British cult hit of the same name which featured Michael Caine in the lead role of Jack Carter, a tough-as-nails mob enforcer who investigates the death of his estranged brother.
In the new version, Stallone's Carter is also on a mission to find out what happened to his brother, but this one adds an undercurrent of redemption and revenge and strengthens the characters of his sister-in-law, played by Miranda Richardson, and niece, played by Rachel Leigh Cook. Cook is best known for her recent breakthrough performance opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the teen sleeper hit "She's All That."
In fact, this film finds Stallone playing a much more paternal character then ever before. He says that having two young daughters himself helped immensely in the emotional scenes with Cook.
Stallone says, at first, he had reservations about re-making a film that was so loved the first time around, but they were erased when Michael Caine saw the script and agreed to play a small role in the new version as a shady club owner.
This isn't the first time the two actors have worked together. They previously appeared on screen together in the 1981 World War II drama "Victory."
Also in the cast are Tony-winning "Cabaret" star Alan Cumming and Stallone's longtime friend and sparring partner Mickey Rourke.
This new version of "Get Carter" was directed by relative newcomer Stephen Kay, who previously impressed critics with his debut feature film "The Last Time I Committed Suicide,"
starring Keanu Reeves.
Although Stallone recently tried to re-invent himself as a serious dramatic actor with his performance in "Copland," this new film returns him to familiar territory, complete with brutal fights, high-energy action sequences, and tongue-in-cheek quips and throw-away lines.
It may look a lot like an old fashioned Stallone film, but the actor insists that it's more of a combination of serious dramatic work like "Copland" and the cartoon-style action genre for which he's best known around the world.
