- Story Text: Pop star Michael Jackson dashed from his charity concert in Seoul on Friday (June 25) to arrive in Munich on Sunday (June 27) in time for his performance 'with friends' at Munich's Olympic Stadium in aid of the Red Cross, UNESCO and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
Jackson's second charity concert in three days began with more than an hour's delay and an overwhelming reception from thousands of female teenage fans.
Jackson flew in from Seoul, South Korea, after the first of his two 'Michael Jackson and Friends' charity concerts.
The second, in Munich, began Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
local time (1300 GMT) in front of some 60,000 excited fans from across Europe.Jackson's performance started shortly before 11 p.m.(2100 GMT).
Proceeds from the concert, which also featured performances by over 30 world-famous artists including Vanessa Mae, Status Quo, the Barenaked Ladies and Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey and Ringo Starr will go to help Kosovar refugees.
Several hours after the concert, Jackson suffered a "circulatory collapse" and was rushed to hospital in a police cavalcade from Munich's Olympic stadium.He was discharged on Monday morning, a spokesman for Munich police said.
