Summary:Tunisian President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali arrive in Paris on October 20 to begin a long-delayed official visit to France amid attacks from human rights groups and praise from President Chirac for keeping Moslem fundamentalists at bay. France, Tunisias top trade partner, is concerned that a Moslem fundamentalists rebellion in Algeria could spread to other North African countries. Human rights groups say Tunisia holds some 2,300 political prisoners, most accused of being supporters of the banned group Ennhada.
