- Story Text: In Jerusalem, members of parliament on Sunday (9 April) gave a formal dinner in honour of American singer and actor Frank Sinatra for his financial backing of the Hebrew University in the city. Earlier, Mr. Sinatra had appeared at the Mount Scopus campus of the university, where he dedicated the Frank Sinatra International Student Centre. The university would not say how much the building had cost, or how much the singer had contributed. At the dinner, he received three standing ovations without singing a single song. The toast for Mr. Sanatra, and his wife Barbara, was proposed by the university president, Dr. Avraham Harman.
