  • Story Text: Isr. forces pulled back from a 300 sq. km area of Southern Lebanon around Abbassiya, turning it over to Senegalese UN troops. This was the largest area to be handed over and a centre of guerilla activity. It left the Isr. stationed along a 10 km deep line along their border with Leb. which they gave as their original objective when they moved into Lebanon.
