Summary:Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were arrested and accused of murdering two pay- roll guards. They protested their innocence but were sent for trial. There they faced a hostile judge, an ambitious prosecutor and a biased jury. They were found guilty and sentenced to die. The affair aroused public fury, but Sacco and Vanzetti went to the electric chair on August 23, 1927. In 1977 an official proclamation admitted that they had never had a fair trial.
