  • Story Text: Britain's Richard Dunn - British and European Heavyweight Boxing champion-has won his clash over training facilities with the West German promoters of his world title fight against Muhammad Ali on 25 May.

    On Wednesday (12 May) new facility were provided for Dunn, following his threat to fly back to London because the original training premises offered to him were inadequate.

    Now a local youth centre has been specially converted into a mini-gymnasium for Dunn's private use during his build-up for the fight. After inspecting the premises Dunn said: "This just goes to show what can be achieved if you don't allow people to push you around. The original premises didn't even have a punchbag for me. Now I have at least two".

    Dunn's daily training programme also includes eight miles (over 12 kilometres) of early morning jogging, before an afternoon in the gymnast with his sparring partners, Eddie Fenton and Neville Meade.

    On the subject of the outcome of his fight against Ali, Dunn said before leaving London on Tuesday (11 May) "I'm no prophet - the only prediction I'll make about the fight is that I'll be the winner. I don't know how I'll win, I'll just have to play it by ear. I don't know when I'll win either, but it doesn't matter if it is the first or 15th round".

    Muhammed Ali is scheduled to arrive in Munich on Friday (14 May), to, inspect the training arrangements which have been made for him by the promoters.
