- Story Text: The England squad trained at the Bafokeng Sports Campus base on Tuesday (June 22) before flying down to Port Elizabeth for their make-or-break match against Group C leaders Slovenia on Wednesday (June 23).
They were unable to train in Port Elizabeth because of a poor pitch so exercised at home before travelling.
England will qualify if they beat group leaders Slovenia, but a draw would give the United States or even Algeria the chance to qualify ahead of England if either side should win their match in Pretoria.
Manager Fabio Capello watched as players, including defender and former captain John Terry warmed up on the pitch.
Capello criticised Terry in interviews on Monday (June 21), saying that Terry had made a "big mistake" by speaking out in the official news conference on Sunday (June 20). The former captain had said players wanted to "get off their chests" their concerns about the way the campaign was going. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
