- Date: 14th June 2007
- Summary: TOKYO, JAPAN (JUNE 12, 2007) (REUTERS) (SOUNDBITE) (English) WILLIS SAYING: "It has been twelve years, you know I said at a time, I am trying to keep this brief, I said at a time that I was gonna break from action movies because I was gonna wait for genre to reinvent itself which seemed like really smart things to say. I had no idea what is that meant at the time untill I met Len Wiseman and he sat down with us, with me and FOX, and explain his vision of this film. A lot of this film visually is Len Wiseman's concept what Die Hard 2007 should be. So when you see you have to keep that in mind."

- Story Text: After 12 years of silence, Hollywood star Bruce Willis, 52, returns to "Die Hard" action flick which was currently being promoted in Japan. "Live Free or Die Hard" was the latest series of his "Die Hard" movie which is slated to open on June 23 in Japan firstly and globally on June 27.
On Tuesday (June 12), Willis said jokingly at a press conference that he was "defeated" to a woman -- meaning his costar Maggie Q -- for the first time in his film history and that was the highlight of the film. "It's just amazing that they built things, they built five story elevator shaft. There is a cutaway version of it where you could look into and watch what we are doing in it. God bless little heart. Maggie Q just flailing and wailing on me and I can't just believe I took the beatings and still here to talk to you guys here today. So that one is my favorite," he said.
Willis also said that his return to the famed action flick after 12 years of silence did not come without Director Len Wiseman who persuaded passionately Willis to come back to the movie. "It has been twelve years, you know I said at a time, I am trying to keep this brief, I said at a time that I was gonna break from action movies because I was gonna wait for genre to reinvent itself which seemed like really smart things to say. I had no idea what is that meant at the time untill I met Len Wiseman and he sat down with us, with me and FOX, and explain his vision of this film. A lot of this film visually is Len Wiseman's concept what Die Hard 2007 should be. So when you see you have to keep that in mind," he said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
