Summary:In 1934, Soviet aircraft designers were able to claim a record, for certainly there has never been any aircraft quite as enormous as the Maxim Gorky plane. It took a crew of 23 to fly it and was used mainly as a flying printing press to distribute propaganda leaflets across the Soviet Union. NOTE: Date is approximate.
