- Story Text: Former top model turned France's First Lady Carla Bruni on Wednesday (March 26) arrived in London on a state visit with husband French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The couple were greeted by Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall before meeting Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.
Sarkozy will stay with Queen Elizabeth, address parliament and meet Prime Minister Gordon Brown as he seeks to build a stronger alliance with Britain during a two-day visit.
British newspapers on Wednesday published a nude photo of Bruni that is due to be auctioned off at Christie's in New York in April.
The 13 x 10 1/8 inch (32.5 x 22.5 cm) gelatin silver black and white photograph was taken in 1993, when Bruni was one of the world's top fashion models, and is being sold by art collector Gert Elfering.
Bruni is shown from her modelling days in a full length black and white photograph, with her hands positioned below her waist.
The photo was taken by photographer Michel Comte and is part of a series going under the hammer on April 10 in New York. It is expected to fetch between 3,000 to 4,000 US Dollars.
Bruni also poses nude in this month's GQ magazine. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
