- Story Text:Tens of thousands of pro-European Union protesters began a colourful march through London on Saturday (March 25), four days before Prime Minister Theresa May files Britain's formal exit papers from the bloc.
Protesters at the "Unite for Europe" march carried EU flags and anti-Brexit placards as they marched through central London against Article 50 being triggered on Wednesday (March 29).
The march began on Park Lane and is set to end with a rally outside the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, where floral tributes for the victims of Wednesday's (March 22) attack are laid.
Organisers said on social media that they will "not be intimidated" by the attacks, and that the event is also to honour the victims. Police estimated 50,000 were attending the march. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
