- Story Text: Hollywood came to the South Korean capital Seoul on Monday (May 22) as the film stars behind the Planet Hollywood restaurant chain celebrated the opening of their latest outlet.
Action movie superstars Bruce Willis and Jean Claude van Damme jetted in specially for the celebrations, joining supermodel Cindy Crawford and "Miami Vice" star Don Johnson. United States ambassador to Seoul James Laney also attended.
Shareholders in the restaurant chain also include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Demi Moore who did not attend the Seoul event.
Korea's own showbiz personalities, including pop star Roo Ra, actresses Lee Seung-yon and Kim Hye-ri, actor Chang Tong-gon and top fashion designer Andre Kim also joined in the spectacular "Evening with the Stars".
The arrival of the U.S. stars caused a huge traffic jam in Nonhyon-dong street, forcing security guards to keep them from their enthusiastic fans.
And the outside of the restaurant will be the nearest most Koreans get to going in. High prices mean only the wealthy can afford to dine there.
