  • Story Text: Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho gives a coaching clinic for Indonesian soccer players during a two day visit to the country. Portuguese international defender Ricardo Carvalho gave a coaching clinic for Indonesian football fans at Futsal Stadium in Jakarta on Sunday (July 1) whilst on a two day visit to Indonesia.
    Carvalho joined his Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and teammate Paulo Ferreira who are also in Indonesia.
    Carvalho and Ferreira moved to Chelsea from Portuguese side FC Porto shortly after Mourinho took over the managers role at the London club.
    On his first visit to Indonesia Carvalho took a training session with local players of all ages, allowing fans the chance to learn some tricks of the trade from one of soccer's most consistent defensive players.
    Indonesia is one of four countries hosting the 2007 Asia Cup competition which gets underway on July 7, 2007.
    Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are the other host nations.
    Carvalho told reporters outside the stadium that the aim of his visit was to promote the Asia Cup and that was enjoying his first visit to the country.
