  • Story Text: Lisbon will stage its second European Cup final on Saturday (May 24) at the Estadio da Luz, where Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will meet in what is the first time two teams from the same city will play each other in the competition's finale.
    Supporters from both sides started to arrive in Lisbon on Friday (May 23) with both side confident their team will win.
    "I'm here to see Madrid winning the 10th. I hope they win," Real Madrid fan Maria told Reuters.
    One day before the big encounter, Lisbon is still very calm but there are signs visible all over the city indicating it will be hosting the Champions League final.
    The official UEFA shop is selling souvenirs and the Restauradores Square is hosting several people still looking for tickets.
    "There is not much of a football atmosphere yet. I think it will get better tomorrow," said a Real Madrid fan in Commerce Square. "Tomorrow will be a day full of tension and jitters."
    Saturday's game at Lisbon's Estadio da Luz is the first final featuring two teams from the same city in the 59-year history of the European Cup.
    Atletico are seeking a debut continental title and will be trying to deny Real a record-extending 10th, which the fans refer to as "La Decima".
