  • Story Text: Bollywood's answer to Steven Spielberg, Subhash Ghai has released his latest offering, "Yaadein" and it's set to take the box office by storm. Billed as the biggest film ever to come out of India, "Yaadein" went on simultaneous release around the world last weekend. Subhash Ghai attended the London premiere.
    The celebrated director, Subhash Ghai was joined by cast member Jackie Shroff for a special screening at BAFTA in London. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor.
    Hrithik Roshan is India's number one heartthrob and Ruby Wax has famously interviewed him for her current show. Produced under the Mukta Arts Banner, Yaadein is a beautifully crafted masterpiece, and tells the story about the strong bonds that unite a family. The film centres predominantly on Raj Singh Puri (Jackie Shroff), his daughter Isha (Kareena Kapoor) and her suitor Ronit Malhotra (Hrithik Roshan). What ensues is a romance that establishes new undiscovered emotions and friendships. Subhash Gosh was particularly keen to attend the London premiere, hosted by STAR TV, Asia's biggest satellite TV network, as much of the film is set in London. The soundtrack to the movie has already been a phenomenal success and Yaadein the album broke record sales within 15 days of release in India. Created by the prolific music director Anu Malik and twinned with poetic lyrics penned by the legendary Anand Bakshi, the best-selling soundtrack is, in true Bollywood style, an integral part of the film.
    Although only in it's first week of release, "Yaadein"
    has hit the top 20 is US box office sales, and has achieved top ten status in the UK.
