- Story Text: Jennifer Lopez and her husband of three days, Cris Judd, have interrupted their honeymoon to attend Donatella Versace's fashion show in Milan.
Donatella Versace added sultry sparkle to fashion week with a collection that echoed the houses sexy foundation aid by her brother Gianni.
However the big news was the arrival of the, singer/actress and her husband.
Milan fashion week got some glitz and glamour on Tuesday when Jennifer Lopez and her new husband turned up at the Versace show, bringing with them the backstage bodyguard bustle that has been missing so far this year.
Lopez, widely hailed as the sexiest singer alive, married choreographer Cris Judd in Los Angeles on Saturday and headed for an Italian honeymoon, starting with a party thrown by designer Donatella Versace.
"Donatella has been very generous to say we could come and stay with her and we just couldn't turn it down," Lopez told Reuters backstage before the show.
The New York-born bombshell made thousands of jaws drop when she turned up to the 2000 Grammy Awards in a Versace dress that plunged to her belly button and barely covered the rest of her voluptuous curves.
The singer-actress, who has revealed a lot more flesh in some of her music videos, was voted as one of People magazine's "best dressed" for 2001.
On Tuesday, she turned up in a floor-length silver satin gown with yet another plunging neckline, buckled in at the waist with a thick silvery-blue belt.
"Everyone knows I love fashion. I don't think that's a secret," Lopez laughed. "As for Versace, I think it's really sexy, very feminine."
Going dewy-eyed like a romantic school girl and stroking Judd's back as she talked, Lopez said her wedding had been "magical, really romantic".
The marriage came seven months after Lopez, 31, split up with rapper boyfriend Sean "Puffy" Combs after two torrid years, which included a shooting incident in New York.
J.Lo, as she is known in the title of her new chart-topping album, is reported to have met 32-year-old Judd while working on one of her videos.
More recently he choreographed two Lopez concerts shot in Puerto Rico for an upcoming NBC television special.
Benny Medina, Lopez's manager, was best man and Arlene Rodriguez, a childhood friend, served as maid-of-honor.
Attorney Barry Hirsch presided over the ceremony.
Lopez, famed for her appearance at the 2000 Grammys in a gravity-defying Versace dress, was last in theaters in the mystery "Angel Eyes." She recently completed production on the thriller "Enough," due for release next May.
The arrival in Milan of the happy couple and their team of black-clad bodyguards gave fashion week a touch of the VIP glamour which had been noticeable for its absence so far.
Until Tuesday, only Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham had arrived in town for the twice-yearly fashion fest, whose mood has been seriously dampened by last month's attacks on the United States.
The Milan shows end on Wednesday when the travelling troupe of fashionistas head to the catwalks of Paris for the next round of spring/summer 2002 collections.
