- Story Text: The Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak left Perth in Western Australia on Thursday (April 3), after visiting the airbase and meeting aircrews involved in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.
Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott accompanied Najib to the airport at the end of the visit after the men promised not to stop until all that could be done, would be done to find the aircraft.
The authorities believe the missing plane crashed into the southern Indian Ocean roughly 1600km (1000 miles) west of Perth.
The Boeing 777 lost communications and disappeared from civilian radar less than an hour into an overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8.
It was briefly picked up on military radar on the other side of Malaysia and analysis of subsequent hourly electronic "pings" sent to a satellite led investigators to conclude the plane crashed far off the west Australian coast hours later. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
