- Story Text: Today the Dutch Salvage Company Smit em Co started their salvage work, to get the grounded tanker Pacific Glory, still loaded with 75,000 ton oil away from the Isle Wight. The Pacific Glory collided Last friday, was burning and came aground 6 mile south of the Island Wight the stern of the Tanker's is 6 mtrs in the ground (sand) Today, the brought the tanker Helia longside to start pumping 20,000 tons oil over to be able to tow the P. Glory away.
