Summary:Paris on May 30 1940. The city suffered from air raids and the German armies were streaming across France towards the capital. Refugees were already threatening to engulf Paris and the air was full of rumour. Police were combing the city for spies but for cafe society very little changed until the Germans actually arrived, two weeks later.
