- Story Text: Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher cut the ribbon to mark the grand opening of the Guinness World of Records Museum in central Taiwan city of Taichung on Tuesday (January 16).
Asia's first and the world's largest museum of its kind, is a joint-venture between Taiwan's Golden World Corporation and British Guinness Beer Company.
Thatcher, accompanied by First Lady Tseng Wen-hui and Taiwan Governor James Soong, strolled through the museum and watched performances of some amazing feats by record holders from around the world.
Belgian strongman Walter Arefeuille pulled a six tonne bus with his teeth, while Vic Ellis, the "one-man band", played 19 different instruments simultaneously. Mark Kenny did a backwards spring.
Thatcher is currently on a three-day visit to the island.
