- Story Text: Peru's President Ollanta Humala-Tasso was welcomed in Paris with full military honours on Wednesday (November 14) at the start of a two-day state visit to France, his first since he was elected.
Humala-Tasso reviewed a guard of honour during a ceremony at Paris' Invalides, a former military hospital now home to the grave of French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, which the President visited afterwards.
Humala-Tasso was expected to meet French President Francois Hollande on Thursday in a bid to encourage European investors to come in Peru.
