- Story Text: Hit television show "Baywatch" has launched its own perfume as the series enters its sixth season.
Named after the show, the fragrance is available for both men and women.
It made its first public appearance on Thursday (September 6) at a party for "Baywatch" stars.
The cast had gathered at Los Angeles' Will Rogers State Park Beach where the program is filmed to launch the line of fragrances.
With four new cast members, the series will have a new look, as well as smell, this season.
Executive Producer and star David Hasselhoff said there would be a lot of "high profile shows" focusing on specific issues.
Hasselhoff said for the first time, this year's cast included a black woman and a Latino male among the group of lifeguards whose weekly exploits and personal stories have made "Baywatch" the most watched show on television.
New castmembers include Traci Bingham who plays Jordan Tate, an African American "exchange lifeguard" from Cape Cod in northeastern United States.
Nicaraguan-American Jose Solano will also join "Baywatch" as Manny Gutierrez, a Mexican immigrant lifeguard. He described working with the women in the "Baywatch" cast as his "dream of a perfect job." Nancy Velen joins to play Lieutenant Rachel Conners.
The final newcomer is Donna D'Errico who moved to the show from companion program "Baywatch Nights".
Also at Thursday's launch, President of Baywatch Fragrances Steve Marks presented a cheque for 15,000 US dollars to the "Baywatch" cast. The money will be used for Camp Baywatch, a foundation set up to provide homeless and inner-city children with eductional and recreational programs. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
