- Story Text: Actor Vince Vaughn sank his hands and feet into the cement in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (March 4) just two days before the release of his next comedic film "Unfinished Business.''
Vaughn said he was honored to be included among other other actors who have left similar imprints in the forecourt of the theatre.
"I remember being young, like John said, and one of the first places that I came to and you would look at all the hands and the feet and the names that were here and I don't know that I ever really gave myself permission to think that that would be possible. I really just thought if I could work as an actor I was way ahead of the game. So today, to be included into this party and to be a part of this means a lot for me and it's a lot of fun and I'm very grateful for that honor and to be recognized in that way," said Vaughn.
A Minnesota native, the 6-foot-5 Vaughn made his film debut with a small part in "Rudy.'' His small role paid big dividends when he met Favreau on the set. Their friendship led Favreau to include him in his film "Swingers,'' a small-budget movie that struck a chord with moviegoers and became a cult hit.
That success led Vaughn to a role in the big-budget "The Lost World: Jurassic Park'' in 1997. He followed that role with films including "A Cool, Dry Place,'' "The Cell'' and his true star-making role, "Old School.''
