- Story Text: A huge crowd turned up on Tuesday to see Brazil training for Wednesday's (February 23) King's Cup clash with Thailand.
Coach Wanderley Luxemburgo has assembled a strong squad which includes Fifa World Footballer and European Player of the Year Rivaldo.Other European-based players include Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos, Cafu of Roma and Bayer Leverkusen's Emerson and Ze Roberto.
It had been reported earlier that Barcelona did not want to release Rivaldo for the match. But under Fifa regulations the players must be released by their clubs unless they can come to an arrangement with the international team managers.
The four-nation tournament also includes Finland and Estonia. The senior Brazilian team will only play against Thailand.Their youth team will represent them in the other matches.
Thailand, who drew 0-0 with Finland in Sunday's opening game of the tournament, should have five of their overseas players available for Wednesday's match at Rajamangala National Stadium.
Players to be called back from the Singapore League are Surachai Jirasirichote, Surachai Jaturapattarapong, Tawan Sripan and Tawatchai Dumrong-ongtrakul.Another Thai star who plays in the Indian League, Dusit Chalermsaen, is also with the squad.Thailand are coached by former Aston Villa and England striker Peter Withe. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
