- Story Text: By a presidential decree issued yesterday afternoon, the Armed Forces. Chiefs have been replaced, this being necessary after the fall of the Junta. Thus, former Armed Forces chief, Lt-General Dionyssios Arbouzis (replaced by the Junta in 1976), is being brought back to active service, promoted to General and placed at the head of the Armed Forces, while Lt-General Ioannis Davos, until now commander of the 3rd Army Corps, takes over the leadership of the Army. General Gregorios Bonanos and Lt- General Andreas Galatsanos, Chief of the Armed Forces and the Army respectively, are being retired. The new chief took over their positions yesterday afternoon at Athens General head quarters.
