- Story Text: INTRO: Thai police came to the rescue of wild animals in Bangkok on Thursday after they discovered a tiger cub, two chimpanzees and two monkeys at a house in the city.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- A woman has been charged with illegal possession of the animals, which police on Thursday (August 22) took to Bangkok's Wildlife Fund.
The animals were said to have been well looked after and seemed to relish the media attention.
Janruedee Kuanpoonpol said she was an animal lover and did not know it was illegal to keep them in her home.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Somchai Jayaphume said they would pursue the trader who sold her the animals.
