Georgian protestors burned a Russian flag outside the Russian embassy in Tblisi on Wednesday (August 27).
A small group of students angered by the continuing presence of Russian troops in the country held protest placards during the peaceful demonstration.
"Russaia is humiliating our history and us. It occupied our territories, which historically belong to Georgia, which is absolutely unacceptable according to international standards," one student said.
It was the second night of demonstrations at the embassy in the capital.
On Tuesday night more than 100 protesters gathered to rally against Russia's unilateral decision to recognise the independence of the two rebel territories Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Georgia and Russia fought a brief war over the breakaway region of South Ossetia earlier this month after Georgia sent in troops to try to retake the province by force. Russia responded with a massive counter-attack by land, sea and air. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
