"In our motion to severe indictment, we have mentioned a number of arguments, one of them being the possibility that health could deteriorate. The judges have in the meantime taken their decision we accept, and we are now looking into other avenues to make sure this trial will be manageable and as streamlined as possible," Brammertz said.
"I don't see grounds to appeal this decision so we will not appeal," he added.
Brammertz denied to comment on Mladic's medical condition.
"As a lawyer I am absolutely not qualified to give any opinion on medical issues, so I understand that his medical condition is a very specific one, we hope of course that this will be resolved as soon as possible, but for the rest I am really not in position to give more details," Brammertz said.
In November, Mladic will appear in court again in his pre-trial proceedings that should bring about the start of the trial, sometime in the course of next year. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
