- Story Text: North Korean children on Friday (April 14) rehearsed playing their musical instruments in preparation for massive celebrations on Saturday (April 15) to mark founding father Kim Il Sung's 105th birth anniversary.
A teacher working with students ahead of the Day of the Sun, the celebration day, said loyalty to Kim Jong Un is the most important lesson for the children.
Journalists on a visit to the reclusive state for the anniversary were shown after-school class activities such as music and calligraphy classes at Mangyongdae Children's Palace in the capital Pyongyang.
The celebrations will be held on Saturday amid rising tensions as U.S. aircraft carrier group steamed toward the region over fears that North Korea may conduct a sixth nuclear weapons test. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
