- Story Text: Ethiopia's Emperor Haile Selassie has arrived in Greece on his way to Rabat, Morocco, to attend the ninth summit conference of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU).
The Emperor spent two hours in Athens discussing matters of mutual interest between their two countries with the Greek Deputy Premier, Mr Stylianos Pattakos, and the Ethiopian Ambassador to Greece, Mr. Mesfin Abebe.
Mr Pattakos last year visited Ethiopia, where he met the Emperor and other Ethiopian Government officials.
Emperor Haile Selassie war later due to leave by special jet for Morocco, via Geneva, for the summit, which opened today (Monday).
Among matters to be discussed at the summit will be a report from the OAU Defence Commission recommending that regional defence systems be set up to protect independent African States.
