- Story Text: - INTRO: The bodies of 17 Moslems have been found in a Bosnian village. It's believed they were captured by Serbs when the Serb army entered the village in April 1992.
------------------------------------------------------------- The corpses were found by the Bosnian government pathologist and forensic team in the village of Svrake, 15 km northeast of Sarajevo.
It believed most of the victims had been killed in a so-called human shield operation, when the Serb army tried to break Bosnian army defence lines near the capital Sarajevo.
A couple of eyewitnesses who survived the Svrake massacre were helping the Bosnian pathology team who started exhuming the grave on Tuesday (July 9).
The bodies were in poor condition and families of the victims found it difficult to identify them. - Copyright Holder: POOL (CAN SELL)
