- Story Text: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry hosted President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang for a luncheon at the State Department on Wednesday (July 24).
The leaders exchanged pleasantries about the cooperative and productive relationship the nations share before leading a toast.
Sang will meet with President Barack Obama on July 25th. The two leaders are expected to exchange ideas on the major orientations for relations between the two countries, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, science, technology, education, training and humanitarian issues.
