- Story Text: South Korean foreign ministry said on Thursday (April 27) that the U.S. move related to North Korean nuclear issue is "the strongest-ever".
This comment came after high-profile briefings by the Trump administration on North Korea on Wednesday (April 27).
U.S. lawmakers said, however, the briefings failed to provide the firm strategy they had hoped for dealing with what they described as a major national security threat.
South Korea and the United States agreed on Thursday on "swift punitive measures" against North Korea in the event of more provocation, although the United States signalled sanctions and diplomatic pressure were its priorities for now. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
