Story Text: Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in Moscow with an official visit on Sunday (December 6).
Singh and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev are expected to meet for informal talks on Sunday and to discuss topical issues on Monday. Singh will also meet Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
On the eve of his visit to Russia Singh said that India was particularly interested in developing cooperation in the energy sector. He also said will discuss with Russian leaders cooperation in new areas such as pharmaceuticals, diamonds, bio, nano and information technologies.
Bilateral cooperation in the civil nuclear and defence fields is on the talks agenda.
Singh's visit will last three days.
It is Singh's sixth visit to Russia since 2004.
