  • Story Text: Often called the most famous drag queen in the world, RuPaul prepares to launch the second season of his "RuPaul's Drag Race," a reality-based drag competition. But in addition to mentoring up and coming drag queens, RuPaul is also peddling a book, offering style and advice to the masses.
    "I honestly believe that we are all born naked and the rest is drag. In fact, we're all playing a role. We all play roles. We all play dress up," said RuPaul. "It speaks to human's zest and need to express itself."
    Contestants of the show include some of the most outrageous, cutting-edge, and talented drag queens all fighting for the title (and tiara) as top drag queen in the U.S.
    Working with the contestants are top models, designers and American idols all rolled up into one. Each week, through the trials and tribulations of glam, glitter and show-stopping performances, one drag queen is eliminated until the next superstar drag queen of America is named.
    But RuPaul is offering up his style advice to more than just potential drag queens with his new book, "Rupaul's Guide to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Style."
    "It's a different approach to a style book because it's more of styling yourself from the inside out rather than just the outside in. Which we do a bit of that, too. But finding your own frequency and clearing away the blockage that blocks transmitting your message or your communication, that's what the book is about."
    The book features insights into makeup, clothing, and the illusion of drag. Fans of RuPaul will get pieces of Ru's philosophy on style and attitude, and how it's more than clothes that make the man, or woman.
