Summary:Archbishop Stepinak of Zagreb spent his first day of freedom after five years in jail on December 6 1951. He had been sentenced by a Yugoslav court in 1946, on charges of collaboration with German occupation forces. Pictures of Stepinak with German officers were released at the time of the trial. The Archbishop was also accused of hoarding a fortune taken from concentration camp victims. He strenuously denied all the allegations.
