- Story Text: Miley Cyrus says she likes to make her fans smile, and at her first concert in the German capital, she did just that.
The 15 year-old Texan became a star through the TV series, 'Hannah Montana', and has since taken the world by storm.
After the success of the first series, the soundtrack was released with eight songs being performed by Cyrus, alias Hannah Montana. The album went straight to the top of the US charts and provided the young singer with three platinum records.
Now she is in Berlin to present her new album "Breakout" and meet a few of her fans, something she says she loves to do.
"Each city that I went to, I try to go to a children's' hospital.
I think that's really inspiring, because you see that the music that you make is the one thing that can make those kids smile. And so I think that's really, when you're not wanting to wake up in the morning and go to work, or you think, this is going to be really hard, and I'm not really feeling like singing today, you know, this song that I'm doing or this video that I'm doing it's going to make someone happy. It's kind of putting it into perspective and being selfless and doing it for your fans," Cyrus said in a question and answer session ahead of the concert on Monday evening.
"I love when I get to meet my fans and everything and they get to see more life to me, and get to see what I am really like and more my wild side personality more than just what is written down on paper for me to say."
The part of her life fans are speculating on though is her relationship with the musician Justin Gaston.
"He's a really good friend and so I kind of just keep things under wraps so there's no ruining a great friendship, because he's a wonderful friend," Cyrus said about the singer, who is five years older than she is. Cyrus turns sixteen on November 23rd, although she has been celebrating her 'sweet 16' birthday for weeks.
And the multi-talented Texan isn't going to stop at her singing and TV-series success, she also had big plans for the future.
"I think it would be awesome to write and maybe even direct one day and give other people a chance to, you know, live their dream and do movies and do tours, it's so much fun," she said.
Her own movie will soon be seen on the big screens, 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' will be opening in the US cinemas on the first of May next year.
