- Story Text: The Jonas Brothers, the cast of "Vampire Diaries", and many of the stars of the "Twilight" film series showed up at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles to take part in the 12th Annual Young Hollywood Awards.
The night began with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and star of "The Last Song" winning the Breakthrough Award. The cast of "Vampire Diaries" won the Young Hollywood Cast to Watch. "I actually came to this award ceremony last year with the girls and so this was before we even started shooting the show, it was right after the pilot got picked up. So now to come back and be winning an award. It's really exciting. It's been a very exciting year," said Candace Accola of "Vampire Diaries."
Twilight star Nikki Reed won Young Hollywood Superstar in The Making while Nick Jonas finished the night winning Artist of the Year. Nick Jonas talked about winning the award as he ventured on his solo project Nick Jonas and The Administration.
"It's hard to believe that I'm winning anything tonight. I'm very, very honored. I'm just happy to be here. Happy to be here with my brothers who are here to support me. And it's going to be a fun night," he said.
Nick's brother Joe Jonas talked about what it was like to come to the event now that they are worldwide stars.
"We see a lot of the same things in different artists that we went through when we first started. I think you have to go through different certain things to really appreciate what you have. And we've kind of had an up and down, up and down career. You know, we've gone through the circuits of what's it's been like. But in the end of the day if you appreciate what you do, I think that really shows out," he said.
The show was hosted by Extra host Mario Lopez and had ten minutes of stand-up comedy by Young Comedian of the Year winner Whitney Cummings. Multi-platinum artist Kevin Rudolf performed his hit single, "Let it Rock." - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
