- Story Text: Hundreds of avid Brazilian Jonas Brothers fans surrounded the band's hotel in Rio de Janeiro on Friday (May 22) with cameras and posters on the eve of their first concert in Brazil.
Some fans, mostly teenage girls, flocked to the Copacabana Palace hotel at daybreak to get a quick glance of the trio ahead of their Saturday night concert - with screams of excitement punctuating the air.
The teen rockers, who have gone through Peru, Chile and Argentina, will perform in Rio's sambadrome venue and at Sao Paulo's Morumbi soccer stadium on Sunday.
A group of fans also went to the concert area to see if they could get a closer look at the three brothers.
But 16-year-old fan, Julia Monteiro, said she was frustrated that Joe did not give them any attention during his stage visit.
"I was extremely angry because Joe did not come here to speak to us. We're only four, it wouldn't be such an effort to talk to us. But it's impossible to be more excited than I am," she said, standing next to three friends.
The Jonas Brothers are on an international tour to promote their new album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" during which they will visit over 11 countries with 52 stops in the U.S. alone. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
