- Story Text: The Disney action adventure "Tron" reprises the life of video-game creator Kevin Flynn in "Tron: Legacy." Academy Award winning actor Jeff Bridges returns to the grid as Kevin Flynn, in the futuristic sequel of the hit 1980's Disney film "Tron". Flynn mysteriously disappears, leaving behind his video game empire and a young son, Sam.
Sam is intrigued by a message sent from his father's abandoned arcade twenty years after his disappearance. When he takes it upon himself to investigate the message he is unexpectedly taken into a whole different universe.
Although Bridges was excited about resurrecting his old character, he admitted that he hesitated when asked to take up the role.
"Yeah, I always have to be convinced, I was pretty tough", said Bridges. "I have to be dragged to the party most often and I knew that they would come up with some great special effects. I knew that was going to be amazing. I was very anxious to try this performance capture, you know, making movies without cameras, it was very intriguing to me."
Bruce Boxleitner also reprises his character from the original Tron film, Flynn's longtime work partner Alan Bradley. He is proud to return to the film and offered his co-stars some advice on being a part of the Tron world.
"Welcome, you're part of a great group", said Boxleitner. "I think we were just now talking about this, you are, and you're linked with it now forever because in the minds of fans of this type of genre once you're in, you're in for life."
Co-starring with the films' veterans are actors James Frain, Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde.
