Story Text: Libyan rebels assembled 30km east of Brega on Saturday (April 9), the only active front in the war against forces loyal to Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Fighting along the eastern towns of Brega and Ajdabiyah has descended into a desultory stalemate with both sides making advances and then retreating behind secure lines.
On Friday (April 8), rebels at the western boundary of Ajdabiyah fled from an artillery bombardment but there was no sign of a government advance.
