- Story Text: Workers at a drinks stall fished the giant, smiling "Lego" man from the sea in the Dutch resort of Zandvoort on Tuesday (August 7).
They dragged the 2.5-metre (8-foot) tall model with a yellow head and blue torso from the sea and placed it in the sand, where crowds quickly gathered around it.
One woman, named Marianne, said she saw the "Lego" man bobbing in the waves in the morning. She said she thought it seemed to be floating from the direction of England.
A beach worker said the "Lego" man was attracting alot of attention.
"Now it's standing there and all people are making photos, that's nice, it's cool."
No one seemed to know what it was or where it came from but they seemed to be having a good time just looking at it and touching it. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
