- Story Text: Fire breaks out at military airport in German capital Berlin.
A large fire broke out at the military section of Berlin's Tegel airport on Thursday (November 20), prompting authorities to divert flight traffic through the airport.
According to a spokesman for Tegel airport, incoming flights were being diverted to Schoenefeld airport in the eastern part of the German capital because large clouds of smoke made landing difficult.
Police said no one's life was in danger and that a large contingent of firemen were fighting it.
The cause of the fire was not known. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
